Good morning my dear snoopy friends!
How are you this morning?? All ready to go for another snoop around the world of messy (and tidy) crafty desks? Queen Julia is waiting for all of us to gather around the "linky" table and give our opinions on all the crafty affairs!
As you know I have been pulling my hair out because of my bathroom - yesterday more search for the source of the problem has been done but still no results so I am now almost bald and going to the toilet is a nerve recking task! I must thank all of you for your kind words and "condolences" regarding my bathroom - I guess everybody at some point in their life has problems with a leakage - be it one in a bathroom or a biggy like the one that leaked out at Pentagon! If I think about that, my leak is not such a big problem! Ha, ha...
Luckily I have my craft room where no leakage is possible ( unless I spill my coffee or tea) and I have been doing things!
I went to visit my mom the other day with my daughter and my friend from England as it was her name day and also my daughters name day! I made cards for them and I will show them off here as I won't enter them into any challenge - lately I don't have time to do challenges - I write them down over the weekend and start doing them but then I don't have time to enter.
So first my 2 cards this one was for my mom:
And this one was for my daughter....
And this is my boring desk from this morning....unfinished project, a new punch - 1 1/2 inch square a few new meshes I bought the other day and Mr. Don Key sitting on top of my MS punches - also bits of paper everywhere - leftovers from some of my projects! Oh yes and on the shelf you can see my new Bird legs Stampotique stamp - now all 3 of them are on display!
And just to put a smile on your faces - as we were travelling back from my moms in a village about 5 km away from my mom we saw a family of storks....the father sitting on the light and the mother kissing her baby in a nest on an electrical pole! Sooo cute!
So there this is my contribution to the crafty affairs of the day!
Have a lovely snoop and a lovely day!
Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian
Awww those stork piccys are fabulous, your cards are amazing! I love those. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with your bathroom I really hope it gets sorted real soon. Joey.x
ReplyDeleteNever seen storks in the 'wild' - they must be very acclimitasied to the traffic and light!! Amazing. LOVE your cards, they are beautiful - colour and style. Good luck with the leak, hope it's cured quickly I really do.
ReplyDeleteNice workspace and stash. Fab pic of the Storks nest !

Elizabeth (and Bluebeard) sent me over to take a peak at your blog. I'm so glad I did because it is full of interesting things. I've never seen storks in the USA but when traveling to Greece I did see a nest almost exactly like the one you showed. I thought it was a sculpture at first glance.
ReplyDeleteYou brought back a memory of something I learned while in Greece and apparently people from other parts of the world celebrate. Birthdays are on name days. It really makes sense!
Thankyou for posting!
Best,
Cheryl
Great cards and I love how the stocks have there nest on such a small space.

I read a book as a child that had storks in it and it had pictures just like that. Wish I could remember what it was called - but thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing picture. I'm going to leave your blog page open to show my birdy mad OH when he gets home. There was us excited yesterday to spot some doves nesting on the top of the local traffic lights - would've loved seeing this!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are absolutely beautiful ;-) hehe had to laugh about the Pentagon joke. Poor you though your leak is no joke, hard to believe no-one can track the source of the leak down and after such a long time, no wonder you're tearing your hair out. Be careful though you may end up needing a wig LOL

ReplyDeleteI hope that leak gets found soon! It can be nerve wracking. I really thought storks were a myth. SERIOUSLY. So glad I joined this blog hop. I've learned so much.
ReplyDeleteAlso learned about name day, something I had no idea about. And now I can also find Slovenia. See how much I've learned from you? You are really a great wealth of librarian knowledge AND make some pretty spectacular cards. I love them both, but am always partial to birds. Happy WOYWW and thanks for your awesome comments.
aww how cute are the birds, what a great shot to get. So sorry you are still having leakage problems. I love the cards, your choice of ribbons is perfect, so,so pretty.

Love all of your photos! The cards are beautiful and the storks are great! We had a leak in our bathroom and it turned out to be where the pipes joined for the taps in the wall, both the bathroom and spare bedroom (cause it leaked through the wall) needed to be redone! Have a great week! Tracey x
ReplyDeleteThe picture of the storks is incredible. Love your workspace, it's pink - wonderful pink! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of the storks and I love your cards especially the one for your daughter.
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment on my blog. I made the flower by cutting a strip of card and punching the both sides, I lined it up using the dots on the design. It did take me a few goes to get the width of the paper right though as I didn't think to measure the design and then double it!!

Hi - it's not as glamerous as it sounds - I'd rather be left to rot in my pigsty - now I have to CLEAN THE WHOLE HOUSE!
ReplyDeleteIf I'd taken the call instead of Luke I'd have given my sister in laws address and pretended we live there - she is always clean and tidy.
An amazing photograph, lucky you to see something so wonderful
