WOYWW, a happy birthday card!

Hello my dear friends!

I hope that all of you are safe,  away from high waters and other bad things happening around the globe! We are at the moment just having rain,  day after day - some areas are  flooded, but most of the country is not so that is lucky! Of course the damage in the woods is still very much visible even though foresters are trying to do as much as they can to clean up all the broken trees and branches!
I haven't been doing much crafting just a card every now and again! This is a card I have made for my DBF who's birthday is Friday - he doesn't look at my blog much so I can show you what I have made!
I ordered this amazing die from Dies to die for! It is a Poppy stamps die and is supposed to be a background die so it cuts out all these happy birthdays but it is made very cleverly so you can use both what you cut out and what is left but without all those bits falling out and then !
So what I made was I used the die and cut out the "background" ( it turned out to be the for ground)  in silver cardstock and then used Derwent Inktense Blocks to make an ombre background! I think it looks really good !

I also made an envelope with my WRMK envelope maker! It sort of matches the colors on the card!
I didn't really plan how the colors would be peeking through the die but I think they turned out to be just in the right place! Also I think it is quite a nice card for a man! No flowers or anything just the fact that it is a birthday! Ha, ha...
Have a lovely week - I will try to come around as much of you as possible! I do have a few birthday parties to attend though! :-))
If you are wondering what that WOYWW is in my title go here and find out!

Lots of hugs to all of you

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Hello my dear friends!

I haven't been blogging for more then a week - I just have so much worries these days I just can't get concentrated and blog properly but as it is Valentine's day I thought I would do a quick post! We finally have sunshine after days of snow and ice and rain! I am not sure it will last for long but I am happy to see the sun...I am watching news from England every day and thinking of all the people there suffering from the horrible weather that keeps battering England - I hope for you all that it soon gets better and life returns to normal!
Today I am showing a Valentines card I made for my DBF....used Simon Says Stamp background stamp with hand drawn hearts which I inked up with Versamark and then put some red embossing powder on! When that was all done I colored in between with H2Os for a bit of shine and "watercolory" look! The sentiment is a die cut from Simon Says Stamp big love you die, I also added ribbon and I cut a heart out and covered it with sequins! So I basicly used all the stuff that is "in" at the moment except these pastes everybody is using - I find them quite messy but do use them sometimes! Anyway here is my card....

Wishing you all a lovely Valentine's day and hopefuly the weather will get better over the weekend!
Lots and lots of hugs and love to everybody!

WOYWW from frozen Slovenia!

Hello my dear friends!

I hope you are all well and hopefully not suffering either in floods, cold weather or snow! We are not that lucky as we have had an unusual weather phenomena called "zled" a sort of frost - everything is covered in ice! It happens when it is cold and it rains and the rain turns into ice and it starts building up on trees and shrubs and well everywhere - of coarse it is most devastating on trees because the ice is so heavy the branches just break off under the heavy weight - so we have had about 3,5 million m3 of trees broken or destroyed by this catastrophic ice.
Here are some photos that look quite "romantic" but in fact they are deadly....

Everywhere you go you can hear the trees cracking and then suddenly a big tree or branch falls on the ground! The road I usually go to work on is closed all  week because of the danger of trees falling on cars! So that is what we have been fighting here all week!
On the crafty side I have made a few things....here is my desk where you see my moleskin and an envelope..and both sides of the desk a lot of crafty junk....:-)

Well lets have a look what I have done with the art journal pages I showed you last week...
This....

changed into this....(and this is my Romance for the Crafty Individuals challenge)

and this.....

changed into this....

I also made a birthday card for a friend, I used a Christy Tomlinson She stamp and lots of different acrylic paints, beads and lace, it is almost like a mixed media project! I quite like this one....

So there that is all from me - sorry it is such a big post but I hope you enjoyed it anyway! Hope to see you all at Stamping Ground....
Lots of hugs and love to all of you...
