WOYWW, English weather and some new stuff!

Good morning to all !

How are you all today? Getting ready for yet another wet and windy day? Or enjoying a warm sunny morning? I came back from England last night after a cold, windy and wet weekend! We went to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire for the 50th Anniversary of the first MGB - my DBF has owned MGs practicly since he was young and we belong to the Maidstone MG owners club! So us petrol heads headed of to Oxfordshire on Saturday morning - it was sunny and bright but unfortunately on the way there were a few accidents so we were queuing up for hours - we finally arrived to our destination - a nice little town called Burford, had a good pub meal and stayed in a Travel Lodge for the night! Next morning we woke up to a very grey and miserable morning but it was still dry so after breakfast we drove off to Blenheim palace! It was a really big event, MGs from all over the country have gathered but after an hour or so it started chucking it down with rain and it rained and it poured.....so I didn't go into Blenheim Palace - there were big queues to get in and I can't stand on my feet for long ( my knee and ankle still not ok) but I stayed around the car and took a few photos before it started pouring so much we had to get into the car....I am really sorry for the organizers who have put so much effort in the organization and people were leaving after an hour! We toughed out for 3 hours but with the field getting weter and weter we finaly gave up!
So to get back to the point of the WOYWW - I have nothing new that I would make but I have new stuff on my desk - some new art moulds I just got and my new Donna stamps from The Artistic Stamper! Yipeeeee! I have an idea what I will do with them but I will show that sometime during the week when I get up to it! I must apologise to all the ladies who visited me last week - I just ran out of time - I was working long hours and then had to pack and I have been away all weekend - came home last night! Will visit you all today and tomorrow! So after all that chat finally here is the picture of my desk......

I will also bore you with a few photos from my travel.....lunch at this lovely pub....

getting into Blenheim palace.....

The club gang getting ready for a stroll around the site....

me in front of my DBFs MG.....I had about 4 layers of clothes under that coat.....

I was more interested in the amazing colors of the cars then the actual engines....

And I thought this one was very cute.....

That is it - if you have toughed it out till now I wish you all a lovely day and now that I am settled back home I will be with you soon!

Lots of hugs to all

WOYWW, a sprained ankle, a card, a tag and a mess!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while - the reason was a sprained ankle! I went to work for 2 days and on the 2nd day when I was locking up the library I just suddenly felt an excrutiating pain in my foot and fell! So my brother and I spent another evening at the hospital - luckily the x-rays showed that nothing was broken so I was sent home - back to bed foot on a pillow and ice on ankle! Huh! Still I was good all week and went back to work yesterday - I wear a special ankle sock to keep it in place and well I am on crutches because I still feel a bit unsecure but hopefully I will get more corageous soon! I am travelling to England this weekend as my DBF and I intend to go to this big MG doo at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire so I better gear up for that!
Well for the first few days I didn't do any crafting but over the weekend I got up to some and I will show you that in a minute! My desk is such a mess - I was studying Jo's ( from Jozart) perfume philes and wanted to make some ( but would need her assistance to make them - do you hear that JO ???????) so the box you see there is full of stuff I think would be needed for that project! There are some new metallic TH distress stains there, dominos ( another thing I intent to make in the near future) , oh look a bottle of perfume - yes I took that out of my purse the other day and well I think you can find anything you need for crafting on my desk this morning - a right mess!

Left side...

right side......

Perfume philes......

As for my makings - here is a card I made.....it is made with a Crafty Individuals stamp stamped on textile, background is Dylusions and the actual stamp was colored with liquid pearls!

My other making is a September TH tag  - I didn't have sticky foil so I made my own - put double sided tape on a tag and then glued foil on it - worked the same! I used the technique he used but instead of grunge I thought I would go for a medieval theme! Jeanne D'Arc was my chosen heroin!

So there - that is me done for today - I have to rush to work now but I will be seeing you all later in the day!

Lots of hugs to all of you!

WOYWW, A pogo and the White cliffs of Dover

Hello my dear friends!

I am very late today - it was my first day at work after my operation and there was no chance I would post early in the morning ( as I had to go to see my GP before work) and when I came back home  I needed a bit of rest before I could get on with things - anyway I am here now and ready for the big snoop around Queen Julia's kingdom!
What is on my desk??? Well a few things.....
A card I made for a friend! The bike is a Hero Arts stamp, the baloons are a Paper bag studio stamp and the hill is a bit of some English newspaper I had at home, TH summer distress inks and that is about it!

Next thing you can see on my desk is a Polaroid POGO PRINTER, which I was soo happy to get but as it seems my camera which is a new SONY CYBER SHOT does not have any option that would make it work with the POGO! So I am now very sad - if anybody out there has any idea about how it might work PLEASE, PLEASE let me know!

And last and not least I finally got my big order from LOST COAST DESIGNS (they were probably stuck in customs as I waited for them 8 weeks!) - lovely stamps - I mounted them all and they are ready to be used....

Ok then 2 snaps from my travel......a picture from the Aquatic Center at the London Para Olympic games....

and one from the White Cliffs of Dover..... I will show more in another post!

Ok thats me done for today - have a lovely evening and a good snoop - I am just about to have one!
Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian
