WOYWW, Happy 6th Anniversary!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

Today we celebrate the 6th WOYWW Anniversary! How wonderful is that? For 6 years we have been snooping around desks, seeing everybody's new stuff, seeing everybody's mess and tidyness and generally having a fun time - most important building lovely friendship and support in good times and bad times which is the best part of this lovely weekly gathering! Thank you to our Queen Julia who summons us all together every week and has been the heart and soul of this WOYWW thing for all the 6 years! Thank you to all you ladies who come every week show and tell and comment - you are what this is all about!
SO HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY WOYWWers ! You are amazing!
Even though we are celebrating the show must go on so here is my desk of this week...

Not much to see just a few ATCs that have to be sent off to various people - also the one that will have an asteriks and will post after I have linked. Also a little sketch of a quilt my daughter wants me to make! Huh! That will be a job!
Anyway I will make this short - ha, ha for once I will be a good girl and obey our Queen Julia who likes it short and sweet!
Enjoy a lovely day, celebrate and keep on WOYWWing for many years!
Lots of hugs and love to all of you,

A late WOYWW! Remembering the crop!

Hello my dear friends!

I am a day late posting but I had visitors all day yesterday, cooking and baking and making tea so at 10pm when they left I was so tired I couldn't stand on my feet!
But I am here as early as I was able just to say a few words about the crop!
So first of all thank you to Jan and Julia! As you can see I put Jan first as (so Julia says) she is the main organizer of the event and Julia just turns up - not true really - she makes tea and coffee for us she chats all day and organizes the raffle and well she initially tells us about the crop and gives us all the detail. But the real working force is Jan - she and her boys make sure we have tables and chairs to sit on, she makes sure we are well fed, she makes sure photos are taken and that we have a constant supply of cake! Thank you to both of you - you both do your bit and we are ever so thankful you do it!
Now to tell you about the wonderful chat and friendship we have, the ability to actually see the person who's blog you comment on week after week is just amazing! I am so happy I was able to go because really every time you go there are new people there! I was happy to meet Chris, Debbie and Maggie who I have not met before! There was 17 of us there and I hope there will be more of us next time it happens because it is really fun and girls you should go!!!!
So first a bit of the usual business....showing my desk - this week what you can see is a load of ATCs which I have swaped at the crop!
Thank you to all the girls for this lovely collection of ATCs. If somebody didn't get one from me or would want one please let me know! I know I didn't seem to have picked one up from Wipso but I did put one in her envelope so please Annie can I get one from you? I will also send one to Shaz as she left before I had dished mine out!
I loved the lemon cake we had at the crop - ha, ha I was so inspired I baked some yesterday! I think it wasn't as good as the one at the crop but my visitors seemed to have liked it!

I pintched a few photos off of Jan's blog - please visit her blog if you want to see all the goings on at the crop - I will just show you a few!
The usuall big photo of all of us together, then you can see me, Jan, Shaz and Julia, my DBF playing the unusal instrument and the happy birthday ZOE!!!!

Thats it from me! I have to have a cup of tea now!
Lots of hugs to all of you!

WOYWW, Sad news and good news!

Hello my dear friends!

I am not on here as frequent as I would want to be mostly due to so many things going on and I just can't cope with it all! I am settling into the English way of life but I must admit I miss my family and my country! We hear about immigrants daily in the news and the sometimes really hostile words against them but believe me unless you have to leave your homeland, there is no place like home. Everywhere else you will always be a foreigner. Oh sorry that is just my little political thought after the general election and the now next big theme coming up: Europe! The media has almost bored us to death with the election, now we are going to be finished off with the European theme! HUH!
But sorry really I must get back to what this blog post is supposed to be about: WOYWW. Well I will have to start with the sad news first that are again not crafty but are to do with my DBFs operation. He was supposed to have one yesterday and was called up at the last minute and was told it is cancelled and we were given another date in 3 weeks time! Not fun at all! He already had 2 pre op assesements  and nothing happened now he will have to probably go for the third one! NHS - what can I say? If you don't have the money to pay for the operation you are doomed! But to get to the point of all this writing is that after finding out that the op is off,  my calender has opened for 3 weeks and I have time to go to the BIG WOYWW CROP! YIPEEE! Yes that is the happy good news of this week!
I will have to put on my thinking cap and start making those WOYWW swap ATCs which I would like to dish out at the event! I haven't been doing much crafting lately so it is hard to start but I guess I will get back into the mood!
So finally showing my desk today....

As you can see I am still crafting on the table in the lounge! I put my craft room decorating on hold because of the op but I will probably start next week as I would like to have my own little space!
Soo what do you see on my desk - a bunch of Lil' Inker dies - love them and I think they will be used for my ATCs but not sure yet! Then there is a Winnie and Walter stamp set - new I must say and this:

It is a zen colouring book I bought in Tesco, supposedly there will be more of them. I love what it says at the bottom of the front page:

I am looking forward to coloring in this book - I think it will be really relaxing!
Here is another shot of my desk from the top....

Here you can see I have taken over most of the table - I try not to invade too much of my DBFs space but the crafty stuff just seems to spread....:-)
One more shot - it was my birthday on Sunday - another year older but we can't turn the clock backwards can we, so we just have to brave it ahead...we went on a trip with the MG club and had an ice cream on the beach in Margate....and here is a picture of another year older me....

Have a lovely week - I will see some of you at the crop, others I will "see" next week at the usual WOYWW meeting!
Lots of hugs to all,
