WOYWW, 3 wonky hearts and a door!

Hello my dear friends!

It is really Wednesday again??? I just managed to get around commenting on peoples blogs -  not all of them who can manage that in a week??? I can't! I read all the blogs I comment on and it takes me ages to get round to the ones that commented on my blog and a few others I just randomly pick but there is no chance I could do all of you WOYWWers! I am just honest here!
Anyway lets get on with the usual Wednesday business! My desk as of this morning has my altered book on it - I have started doing it again and I as I did the initial bit what this book is about I am now moving on and so I stamped a door twice so I could cut it and make it open and as you can see when you open the door you find art - and art for healing will be the theme of my book.....

I find that it is not easy to work on pages once you have sprayed tem with mica! Glue doesn't stick very well and not every coloring medium works on it so I guess I will have to think twice when I put some shine on pages!
This post will have a lot of photos so Julia if you don't like it don't don't look ha, ha...
I have been busy doing things over the weekend so here are my 3 wonky hearts! I made Valentine's day cards with washi tape, ribbon and dylusions!
I am absolutly bonkers for washi tape - and as you can see by the variety of tapes on the heart I really am!!!

I am also bonkers for ribbon ......

and here is my Dylusions heart! I sprayed the Dylusions on a "hearty" stencil.....quite a mess really!

So there - a few ideas for you to make cards for your hubbies, wives, lovers, partners or whoever you love!!!
Not finished yet!!
I did finish my splatter card....it was suppose to be an Easter card but I couldn't fit the Easter egg into it so in the end it was turned into a thank you card!

A bit of a shabby chic card but it was fun to play with all the embelishments....
Still not finished! I will have a quick moan! I think crafty stuff is getting more and more expensive, not to mention postage and import tax when you buy something in the States! Huh!!! I have been looking for some of these stamps all over Europe, couldn't find them  so I had to buy them in the States - you end up paying an extra 25% of what you payed for the order! I am not happy! Well I am happy with the haul - have a look at my new stuff!
Tim Holtz stamps, bigz die and texture fades, Hero arts stamps and Balzer stencils and lovely Christy Tomlinson She art stamps!

I also have a couple of new Crafty Individuals stamps....

I love all my new stuff and I know what I will make with it so watch this space!
Now I am finished!! Huh! Are you still there??? Never mind I will come round to see you!
Lots of hugs to all of you, enjoy the day!

WOYWW, Gifts and starting something new!

Good morning dear bloggy friends!

I hope you are all warm and safe...we have had a mixture of snow and rain these last days,  so wet and dull most of the days, not very uplifting! I haven't started this year very well healthwise.....after a cough ( that is still not gone)  now my knee is playing up again ( I am using a stick now!) I don't feel very optimistic! Still as I lay in bed most of the days after coming back from work my mind is constantly thinking about art! I haven't started on my art journal or altered book yet but I have written down a lot of ideas in my little notebook and watched all the Creative Jumpstart videos, so I think there will soon be an explosion of lovely stuff on my desk!
I am still keeping up the "1 Christmas card a week" thing - sometimes I make 2!Last week I showed you my moms card that I sent her for her birthday and she really liked it saying that that card was the most beautiful one I ever sent her - now that was worth a lot as my mom very rarely praises any of my work! I must thank you all for all the good wishes for her birthday - she was soo surprised but I told her " mom this bunch of people are the best" and it is true!!!
Anyway before I show my desk I must show you something else! Yesterday evening when I came home I went to take out all the mail and I found a package there from JOZART!!! I took it up to my flat and here is what was inside - a lovely gift for me and my mom!! THANK YOU JO !!! It is so beautiful and when I read the prayer my eyes were filled with tears! Lovely, lovely lovely!!!
These are the little gifts.....

and this is what you find inside.....

I will send it to my mom today...THANK YOU SO MUCH JO! IT REALLY MEANS A LOT TO ME!!!!
And now my desk - another mess - well I decided to make an Easter card and started off with some acrylic paint and some drops that I made intentionally - it is all over the art world these days so I thought I would give it a go! The card is far from finished but I know what I want to do and I will show it when it will be finished...

Here is a close up.....

The lovely flourish stamp is from Lost Coast Designs.....
Lately I have been hording a lot of stamps and other stuff which I forgot to take a photo of but I will in the next few days - hopefully my health will improve!
I haven't come round to all of you who have commented although I did try....I will try to do better this week!
We are suppose to be on strike today - I am against it as a strike will not get our country out of the crisis but I guess people don't get that, so the whole of the public sector is not working! Eh well!I guess the union bosses have to earn what they are very well payed for!! Huh!!!
Have a lovely day! I will be around your desks to see what is new in your little crafty world! If you still haven't heard about this thing that goes on every Wednesday (WOYWW) go on to our HQ where Queen Julia rules!
Lots of hugs to all of you,

WOYWW, A mess, a card and winter wonderland!

Good morning my dear bloggy friends!

I hope you are warm and safe! I am about to go to the doctor - no not about the cough - it is still there but obviosly at my age you have to check up on other things too! Anyway I am just warning you that this will be rather short and sweet! Well a few more photos but I guess you need them to be able to snoop! Queen Julia will forgive me I hope......hop over there for the fun!
So lets start with my desk....

A right mess as you can see - I was making a card for my mom - she will be 79 on Friday - I think there is everything you could possibly use for a card on there..... I also messed up on this side...

and on the floor.....

Well then I should show you the card I made for my mom.....lots of texture...... I am not sure she will like it - it might be a bit too artsy for her.....

and here is a close up......

and now to finish up a few photos of our lovely winter wonderland......only wonderland on photos in reality hazardland.....my path to the carpark

trees.....

We have a forma viva in front of our faculty door - I thought it looked quite nice in its winter dress....

And the last photo I will bore you with is this romantic evening one.....

I have to rush now....have a lovely day, a lovely snoop and I will see you soon!

Lots of hugs to all of you,

WOYWW, Resolutions!

My dear bloggy friends!

I would first like to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!!!! I know I am a bit late with this but not too late I guess! I haven't been blogging because I am not feeling very well ever since I came back from England - I don't want to start the year being all negative but when you have a cough that keeps you up all night and then you have to go to work in the morning you are not really a very happy bunny....but never mind hopefully I will get well soon!
Here is the last of my Christmas - New Years cards which is sort of dedicated to all of you lovely people I have met through my blogging! Have a good one!!!

As you all know we congregate around the crafty table at Queen Julia every Wednesday and show our desks and here is mine...

Yes I know it looks very tidy and empty! Well by my standards. What you see there is some sort of primed canvas which I intend to use to make a bright and happy mixed media something....I am a bit fed up with Christmas cards and the color red, green and blue, so I will be doing something with pink and lots of lovely bright colors - you will be seeing the progress!
Now of course we should be talking about new years resolutions - eh well I am not really good at sticking to them but I will at least try to stick to the crafty ones...
nr. 1 : TIDY UP and MAKE YOUR CRAFTY SPACE MORE PRACTICAL !
I started on that one - I used to have all my little bottles and inks and stuff on my shelves so whenever I took something off - 10 other things fell off too (huh!!!!!) so I decided to put all those things in containers - I know it is a bit more shifting through things but at least I don't have to be on my knees on the floor all the time picking up what fell off....
Here are my glitters and tiny inks....

Here are all my TH DI - and some of my sprays............ I am still not sure if this is a good idea but you have to try....

I have these Stampin up inks I don't know where to put - they are a bigger size so don't fit in the containers...

My Stickles and Distress stickles found a new home in this box - they still don't fit in nicely but I can't help that...

Resolution Nr.2: MAKE A CHRISTMAS CARD EVERY WEEK!!!! Yes I decided I don't want to spend the whole of December making Christmas cards when I could be doing other things so I decided I will do one every week - I have stuck to the plan so far - Have two cards for next year already! Yippeee!!!
Nr. 3. : GO TO MORE CLASSES AND CROPS AND LEARN MORE CRAFTY TECHNIQUES!
I haven't started on that one yet but I will....Julia has already suggested a date for another crop...and well I guess I will try to go to some classes - I can't afford really expensive ones like TH classes but there are things going on that are affordable....
Nr.4. : FINISH MY ALTERED BOOK AND ART JOURNAL!
I started both last year and I will give a lot more attention to them this year! I still like making cards but I need a variety of things going on.....so watch this space....
Thats it folks - those are my crafty resolutions - nothing big but I think it will keep me busy all year!
What are your crafty resolutions???
As I spend my evenings in bed  I will hook up my laptop and get round to as much of you as possible - I missed the first of this years WOYWW but I am back now ! Thank you to all of you that have commented on my blog throughout 2012, I hope to hear from you in 2013!
Have a lovely week! See you soon!
Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian
