WOYWW, After Christmas and Turkish Coffee

Good morning my bloggy friends!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, surrounded with family and friends! I had all my family with me , my mom stayed with me, my brother came with his family and my daughter with her boyfriend! We had a lovely gathering, there were lots of presents, good food and happiness....my brother brought his guitar and we sang Christmas carols and what ever song we could think of! It was good fun! I went to church with my mom and it was a lovely service!
Well my mom just left, she is travelling with my brother back home so I am on my own at the moment, thinking what jobs I have to do....one is tidying up after all that Christmas cheer, a big bag full of stuff to take to the recycling bins - all that wraping paper wasted! Huh! Some washing to do, packing my bags because tomorrow I am flying to England to spend New Year with my DBF! So quite busy I must say....
Now it is of course Wednesday and time to show desks to the world - Stamping Ground is where you have to go if you want to join in, I don't think many will be joining in....it is Boxing day in England and we have a holiday too but I guess the ladies from over the oceans will be back to work today!
Here is my desk....yes I just made some turkish coffee and I will be enjoying it whilst writing....nothing interesting on my desk today....ha, ha I need a rest from all that crafting!

Here are a few photos of my Christmas tree - it is quite small this year but I love it - it reminds me of times when I was little and I went to my grandmom and grandads farm - they had a christmas tree like that but no baubles on it - in those days people couldn't afford them so there were, sweets, cookies and gold colored walnuts, and little apples on the tree - how lovely - wish we could go back to those times!

The lovely angels I recieved from the two Jos are enjoying their top spots!

Here is another photo of the tree with the star on top....

And here is my Christmas wreath.........

Ok then, I better get up to tidying up....
Have a lovely rest of the holidays, I will try to wizz around as much of you as I can!
Lots of hugs to all of you  and happy holidays!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

I am back with you to show you a few more cards I have made over the past days.....

Santa looking at his list......

A lovely Christmas scene.....

Two religious cards...one for my mom ( the one with the Madonna and child) and one for my god mother...

Another Santa checking his list ....

And a Rudolf with a red nose......

and as last a Winter forest scene....

So there if you haven't done all your cards and you are looking for some last minute inspiration I hope you will find some here!
And another bit of inspiration for you....
I made some little Christmas packages for friends at work....I bought some little "snack" bags....die cut the TH snowflake and glued it on the bag that has been stamped with a Christmas sentiment...added a snowflake ribbon and hey presto it was all done....simple but everybody loved the little gifts (specially as they have been filled with yummy chocolates...:-) )

Here is a close up....

I am not an avid crafter so I can't give you any innovative ideas but sometimes small ideas sparkle big ones!
Merry Christmas to all, lots of hugs and love...

WOYWW, A very messy craft space!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

I am soooo very busy but even though I am busy I just couldn't miss out on one of the last WOYWWs of the year! I am busy at work, busy at home, just finished cards - sending the last ones off today! I have to get my daughter to help me now with all the decorating as I can't get up ladders with my dodgy knee! My mom comes on Saturday so before she comes all should be done!! Then it will just be baking and cooking lovely Christmas meals and lots and lots of chat! We will also go to church so my dear friends a prayer will be put on the altar for all of you !
I am very happy that my "angel swapers" where happy with their angels - it was a pleasure to make them and even a bigger pleasure to send them to such special lovely WOYWWers JOZART and WIPSO!!!!!
We are blessed with warmer weather which is nice ( no scraping the car windows in the morning) and we are actually just having a lovely sunny day! I will be off to our work Christmas doo in a minute!!!
So to get to the point of this mad Wednesday gathering .....here is my desk of this morning!

As you can see, a card in the making, a box of H2Os which I used to color the Santa on the card, TH DI, my sketch book,  various adhesives, a copic marker, scissors and the obligatory cuppa! Here is a shot from the top ( no I didn't stand on the chair :-) )

Here is a shot of my new Big Shot, YES MY VAGABOND PACKED UP!!!!!!! I have decided never ever to buy anything electrical for crafting - the old manual way is the best way! Huh!

I will show a few more of my cards in my next post which will be the last one before Christmas....for the ones that come to my blog only for WOYWW, I wish you all a LOVELY CHRISTMAS, enjoy the day with your family and friends! May peace, happiness and love be with you all!
Lots and lots of hugs  and love to all of you

Her wings are made of tinsel.... my daughter liked her very much - she thought she was so funky with he red wired hair...huh it took me a while to figure out how to get that hair on the head....

Gabriella.... in the backgound you can see my advent wreath.....made with moss, baubles and pearls...

Her wings....also made with TH tinsel....

For the faces I bought some wooden balls and colored the balls with acrylic paint and then drew the faces , there was also some sewing done on the clothes and the use of a glue gun!

WOYWW, I am still making Christmas cards!

Hello my dear friends!

I hope you are all well and doing your last Christmas preparations! Well I must admit I haven't done anything much yet if we are talking about decorations - that is suppose to happen over the weekend! Thing is I had a nasty cold and was still going to work as I can't have anymore days off and when I came home I was too tired to do stuff like that - the only thing I could do is sit in my little room and make Christmas cards! And I have made quite a few - they are all different styles - I guess that is why they take so much time doing.....but nevertheless lets get on with the usual Wednesday business - showing off our messy or tidy desks and all congregating at our leader Queen Julia.....go over there and see what it is all about!
Oh yes before I show my desk I must say that I have added a globe that shows where people are that visit my blog - sooo nice to see all the dots coming from all over the world - thank you visitors I am so happy you have visited my blog!
Ok now lets have a look at my desk....

What you can see is another Christmas card in the making - stamp is from Oxford Impressions - it isn't finished yet but what I love is my new framelets which I used for the fram of the stamp - very useful! Also you can see loads of inks, my cuppa, two pairs of scissors - the smaller ones are for cutting more detailed stuff....a plastic box that is full of those little stamps that are on the Craft Stamper journal, an Artemio Christmas stamp set, glitter....bla, bla, bla......
What you can also see is a lovely poinsettia.....I finally got the TH tattered poinsettia die, I also got the embossing folder so to try it out I colored some card with lovely acrylic metalic paints that have glitter in them and here is the result - oh I just love this die! The detail with the embossing folder is just amazing!

And as last a few new cards I have made....

The stamps are Stampin' Up - I have had them for a few years but they are so useful - love them! I also love TH tinsel! So decorative!
And here is a vintage one with good old St. Nick....

Used a bit of tulle netting on the background to make it more fun! I quite like the result! The pic is from the internet - a vintage Christmas postcard....

And this is a card I made with the Crafty Individuls this years new Christmas stamp - the photo might not show it but the card is lovely and glitery - used the distress dry glitter rock candy....

I would love to show you my angels but I can't as they haven't arrived to their destination yet...I took some really lovely photos so as soon as I get word that they have arrived at their new home you will see them on my blog....
And as last a few more photos of our new snow and -16 deg C......really cold.... I know you can't feel it but I can....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........

Ok then that is me for today! Have a lovely WOYWW and try to finish your Christmas crafting BEFORE Christmas! :-)

Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian

WOYWW, just a quickie!

Hello my dear bloggy friends

I hope you are all safe and warm! We have finally got the proper winter ( Yay fun - NOT) and have to put up with the daily conundrums of SNOW.....cleaning the car off a couple of times a day, slippery roads, freezing temperatures and icy pavements ( not very nice when you have a dodgy knee) so nothing romantic about it....except for the look of it.....here is a little photo for you....our faculty garden.....

My desk seems empty - well it was quite messy earlier because I have been making the angels but because they are a big secret until they reach their destination I had to clear everything away - they will be flying to England tomorrow....
So here is my desk - on the desk you can see a background for a card - I sprayed it with dylusions and cosmic shimmer - which I have newly found - they were sitting on a shelf for ages - it took a while for me to "wake" them as the spray things were all clogged with the mica but in the end they came out nicer then the dylusions.....the color looks orange and yellowish but in fact it is red and green! to the right you can see a box full of stickles - I wanted to put them in that box - I did in the end but couldn't close the lid - huh! and it is such a nice box!

Also my grey pearls and earings are on the table, washi tapes, my cuppa and all sorts.....
And as last another Christmas card....I quite like this one as it involves stamping, die cutting and embossing....

and a close up...

And that is me done for today....our Queen Julia ( the woman that organises this weekly game) will be very happy as she wants us to be short!
Have a lovely day, a good snoop and happy Christmas crafting - not long now just a couple of weeks!
Lots of hugs to all of you,
CARDARIAN
P.S.: have you noticed I have a new blog design?? A bit Christmassy I guess.....
