Hi Everybody!
So sorry I am late again! I had doctors appointments and physio and I am on two crutches, my car is parked in Timbuktoo and we have torrential rain all day! I am wet, cheesed off and exhausted! It is really hell being an invalid so all you people out there pay respect to these people as they are modern day heroes! I have always been respectful to invalids, helping where I could, never ever parking in invalid spaces letting them ahead in a queue! BUT not everybody is taught that and you can meet some really rude people! Post office women closes her window just when I got to her - I had to go in another queue but luckily there was a good man who let me in! The reaction of people is amazing still most are kind, some really rude and some reactions are quite funny .... like if they see you are on crutches they avoid eye contact...it is like you are going jump out of yourself and suddenly devore them!!! Oh God!!! Ha, ha! Well sorry for all this ranting - I just want to share my experience as an (hopefully not permanent) invalid!
Anyway back to crafty stuff! I am now able to sit a bit more as my knee is slowly getting better so I try to do as much as possible - On Friday Jo from Jozart and I had a Skype session where she showed me how to make a cute gift box and envelope for Christmas or any occasion! Thank you so much Jo - I have since made a few more and I will show my stuff in a seperate post!
I have spent ages making this tag card! I started off hoping to make a crackled gold background but even though I used the medium it didn't work! Why I don't know I am still trying to find out - it must have been me not doing something right! But anyway here is the final result - my first Christmas card - giving into the panick now!
I also made a birthday card - one of my friends birthday is sometime in the begining of November so I made a card with a poppy! Used that lovely Hero arts stamp, cuttlebug and some black embossing powder! It is a card for a man so I toned it down a bit! .....
And here are a few panoramic views of my desk and craft room - not nice and tidy anymore......
Yes a configurations box is peeking out there, when I make it nice I will show it off! And that box is full of my Hero arts stamps!
Ok then I better sign in before our Queen Julia locks the door! My knee hurts - I am off to have a rest!
Lots of hugs to everybody!
Cardarian

Želim ti čimprejšnje okrevanje in čim manj bolečin. Obe čestitki sta lepi, ampak prva z angelčkom v zlati barvi pa že prav diši po praznikih.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it - but sorry you're having a hard time on your crutches! Hope you get better soon... you are right, people are not very considerate at all... I've probably been one of them before, so must try harder!! Great cards and love the view of your desk - looks ok to me!!
ReplyDeleteI love that poppy card! I do hope your knee is improving - take care. x Jo
ReplyDeleteOh poor you. I really sympathesise with you with your poorly knee. I have had many times that I have had to use crutches for my knee so I know how you must be feeling. I really hope it improves for you very soon.
ReplyDeleteSending you big healing hugs,
Annie x
Love the craft space , and lots of lovely stash...
ReplyDeleteIts sad to read that people can be so rude and you would think in this day and age we were beyond that .. Have a good week xxx
Lovely craft space - hope you are all better soon! TFS Cindy #26
ReplyDeleteGreat having a snoop around your desk, even though it's late, and I'm pleased you made it at all. At least you are still managing to craft some lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteTake care and I'll be in touch soooooon!

Dear Girl, I am so far behind and not caught up with you at all - your knee - poor you - please be sure to take it easy and let it fully mend. Your christmas card is GORGEOUS - don't panic yet...you'll set me off!
ReplyDeleteYou sounded as though you needed to get all that off your chest ...do you feel a little better for that. I totally agree with you about peoples attitudes to any one with physical problems ...and mental ones too.The lack of eye contact and if you are in a wheel chair you get ignored. I remember when my son was young and had to be in a chair for a while ...he ended up being quite rude to those who ignored him and only talked to me.
ReplyDeleteI love your tag card ...often errors can create masterpieces. Hope you improve soon ...and trip a few thoughtless people up with your crutches ..lol xx
Lovely projects, Thanks for the peek and sharing, xoxo Marjo
ReplyDeletewow, a very neat desk! and whoever is going to get that Christmas card is going to be really pleased. it is gorgeous with all the layers and the white and gold!
ReplyDeletePoor you :( Hope that knee improves rapidly so you can leap about again! Like your cards vv much.
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #43 xx
It's good to vent and get it all off your chest, people can be so rude and wrapped up in themselves, the me, me, me generation unfortunately. Hope you start to heal soon though. Absolutely love that tag card, very special.

I have every sympathy with your problems at the moment. I have knee problems and use sticks always when I am out and about. On our trip to Spain this year, I decided to book a wheelchair at the airposrt, with the idea that it would make life easier for everyone inour party - wrong. Liverpool was fine, but Madrid was dreadful, so much hassle with such uncomfortable chairs, and none of the general public seemed to be able to see us.
ReplyDeleteNo your not late just busy. Lovely cards you have created and such a neat working space.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and a beautiful studio! Hope you heal soon. Happy late WOYWWED!
ReplyDeleteLove your workspace - gorgeous red walls! And a beautiful cream and gold tag, too. Excellent stuff. Sorry to hear you're on crutches and suffering the horrors of disability (temporary, I hope) - I know from experience what it can be like. As a wheelchair user, you are below people's eye-line and they walk into you and all sorts of things! Any mobility aid and some people think you're either invisible, or soft in the head. Grrrr. I've found putting flowers on my wheelchair breaks the ice and elicits smiles and conversation from people who might otherwise ignore me or worse!! Also, purple crutches help!! Happy belated WOYWW, Shoshi #84

And I'm late getting round to folks so you're in good company! Sorry to hear you're having knee troubles - hope it heals fast. The Christmas card is lovely, and Jo is also a star for giving you a skype class.
ReplyDeleteHi Dolores, Sorry to hear about your knee, hope it improves soon. The peace and happiness card is beautiful and the poppy one lovely also. Lots of lovely cards further down too :-) I do love the pink in your craft room. My kitchen would've been on fire if that had been me as I have barely any sense of smell so wouldn't have smelt it!
