WOYWW, A card and I am booked for the crop!!!!!!!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

I hope you are all well and happy! We are back backing at 30 deg C and upwards! Still we did have a few cooler days but no rain - it is becoming a problem for crops and danger for outbreaks of forest fires! Lets hope that the rain will finally find its way here!
Here in Cardarian's happy place we have been still busy with the physio, but I did manage to do a bit of crafting too! I have great news - my lovely DBF has booked a flight for me in October so I will be flying to England and attending the big WOYWW Ludgershall crop! YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
So, so looking forward to meeting all you girls!!! Me and my DBF will be driving down from Kent early Saturday morning so I hope to be there around 10am when all the fun begins!!! My DBF asked if there was going to be a mens programme or shall they just go to the pub?????? Ha, ha.....
Now lets have a look at my desk of this week! I am sure I could get the gold medal for messines! ( still in the Olympic spirit ha, ha....)

Left side.......

Right side.....

and a peek in one of my messy drawers......

All this mess to make this card.....

I used a page out of an old journal we threw out of the library - it is some french foresty journal - ha, ha looks quite fancy on the card....I sprayed the background with dylusions and some other cheap spray I bought the other day in the craft shop....the white flowers are a Paperartsy stamp which I stamped with Versamark and the embossed with white embossing powder....I made the charm myself and I sewed it to the bow...the sentiment is a Teddy Bo and Co stamp.
I also finished the back cover of my art journal ......here to remind you is the front....

and here is the back......

So that is the first bit of my altered book done!

Also this is me done for today - I don't have physio today as we have a holiday but I am back to physio tomorrow! Me and my DBF are off to somewhere cooler - maybe a lake - we are just discussing it!
Have a lovely rest of the day and week - I will try to get to you !
Love and hugs to all
Cardarian

  9. great looking desk and fun things to look through. Love your projects. Love the colors! It has been hot here too...113F one day and over a hundred most of last month. Lots of fires and crops are history this year unless irrigated. Bad year. Thanks for visiting my desk and commenting on my rat trap. It was fun and will make a great paper clip to hang on the refrig once I buy some magnet! Vickie #38

  12. I think your desk is a double gold winner, LOl! And all for the, admittedly very pretty, card! And are those jewellery pliers in the open drawer?? What do you make with them then?
It's so amazing that you're coming to the crop, how awesome is that. It will be truly wonderful to meet you!

  13. Ah, but the mess was worth it for that lovely card. Anyway, you are not in the gold medal category yet, just the bronze, so you need to make more mess - lol. Lovely that you will come over for the crop, hope you enjoy it and meet lots of lovely people. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #59

  18. What wonderful news that you are headed for that crop. I bet Julia will be thrilled, as will Donna and Jo. Getting together on THEIR turf for a change. Hope you are feeling better than when Jo and Donna visited you. You are SUCH a trooper.

Sorry I'm late this week. I love that card. I have dreamed of having a book of French text since forever! And of course, I love what you are doing in your AB, too. The colors are perfect.

  19. Fab photos and a fab card so it was worth the messing up (don't we all make a mess for one card?).
Love the book covers - they really are awesome!
Hope you and the DBF have had some lovely times and that by now we have sent you some rain over. If only a bit - surely that has to be worth something to dampen things down. Would cheerfully swap your weather for a while with ours.
    Take care
