WOYWW, 2 months not blogging, sad news and life must go on!

My dear bloggy friends!

Yes I am actually writing my blog post! I have not posted for more then 2 months - I just can't believe it is such a long time. And so much sad news! First the news of our lovely WOYWWer Eliza from Australia passing away and now I have just read Julias sad post that Janet Fairythoughts has passed away too. Two lovely ladies! I am sooo sad!
Everything I am given by friends I keep so I kept things I got from Eliza....

This was a lovely card, ATC and even the envelope sent to me by Eliza.......

This was something I got from Janet.....her lovely talent of jewelry making....

She was always kind and giving, I once mentioned on my blog I was looking for shaped sequence....she offered to send them to me and in a weeks time I got all this lot.....and she didn't want a thing for it!!!!

So today I am sad that these lovely ladies have passed away.... I am in Slovenia at the moment so I can't come to Janet's funeral but my prayers and thoughts will be with the family she loved and lived for!
I have been away for such a long time because of many reasons....We went through the operation of my DBF - he has fully recovered btw - I had visitors - my dear friend Jo from Jozart and her lovely Dave have been visiting - we started on the quilt I am making for my daughter and Jo  has been showing me lots of sewing tricks! Then we made our way over Europe in our car and we are now in Slovenia! When we came here we found my flat in a bit of a disaster - the block of flats where I live  has been painted so everything had to be cleaned and put back the way it usually is and it took me a while to do that, especially as we have been having temperatures between 35 and 40 deg C, Then I had to visit my mom, celebrate my daughters 30th birthday and visit doctors as I haven't been looking after myself while I have been caring for others and my health has deteriated - my ticker was not ticking the way it should and now I am on tablets that keep that in check!
As you all know life must go on so this was my desk after I arrived home....

A right mess.....I have since cleaned up and I wouldn't be able to write this if the situation would have been the same....I just started making a card for a newborn little girl but it isn't finished yet so I can't show it. I can show my sewing project in the making...You probably saw it on Jo's blog but if you haven't this is the center piece.....

and these are the blocks I am now making with my new sewing machine (Janome TXL 607) because my old Husquarna went up in flames - literary!.....Did I mention there has to be about 200 hundred of these blocks? Huh...I do take on more then I can manage don't I????

Ok then that was me entering the WOYWW world again...sorry I was lost in space - but I have now returned to the mother ship and our captain Julia from Stamping Ground can rightfully tell me off!

Lots of love and hugs to all of you! Friendship my friends is the glue of the world!
Yours faithfully,
Cardarian

  6. It's wonderful that you are blogging again, but sad that it took you so long to be able to do it. I hope you are feeling better soon, and start caring for yourself, because we don't want to lose you.

What a wonderful and sweet tribute you wrote about Janet. I've been telling people how good she was to me, although I never got to meet her. She sent the rocking horse rubber stamp I use on my WOYWW ATCs each year, and I will cherish it even more, now. I hope some of these comments get back to her family so they know how much she was loved and admired. I wish I'd known because I only learned of her death when I visited Julia's in time to link up last night.

Please stay safe and get well soon. Take care of yourself and remember YOU are the most important person in YOUR life. Happy WOYWW from #2, because technically, it's still Wednesday in my world.

  8. As others have mentioned, it's important to take care of ourselves. So sorry to hear about your Huskyvara going up in flames (that sounds so scary). Your quilt blocks are beautiful. #59
