WOYWW 353 A makeover, an Art book, Easter cards and everything distress!

My dear friends! As you can see my blog has a makeover! I am back after more then 2 months. I don't want to apologise much it was just me - I think I was just in a bit of a crisis - even though moving over here seemed to have been easy it wasn't and sometimes it does bring me down being away from family and friends! As I don't know any people here where I live and being used to always having lots of company it sometimes feels a bit lonely! Also my health problems don't make me happy! Anyway I won't go on about it I will just show you some of the stuff I have been doing in the last 2 months! After we came back from Slovenia I started working on an art book which I was going to send to Donna - a WOYWWer from previous times who has now moved to France - it took me so long to make it but it is now finally in France! Here are a few pages...
I also made a little bag or should I say pouch for the book - it was a quilted one which I am very proud of!
I have made loads of Easter cards - I will show a few today and the rest in my next posts - ha, ha I am hoping to return to my regular posting! Anyway here are a few Easter cards...
And last but not least - on Saturday I went to a lovely workshop Jennie from the Artistic Stamper held for us! It was all about DISTRESS! We used every distress product there is on the market - ink pads, distress markers, stains, sprays, paints and we even tried the new distress crayons! We made a little reference book of all the techniques and here is what I made! Thank you Jennie for the lovely time! So here is our teacher...
the table was full of distress products....
and here is what I made....
Oh dear I forgot to show my desk....I am sure there isn't a messier desk around....
So that's me done...have a lovely week and don't forget to nose around and hook up to our HQ - the Stamping Ground! Love and hugs to all of you CARDARIAN

  1. Love your messy desk, love your Distress concertina card (could have done with that course as I am using DI's this weekend at the show), love love love your Easter cards and I know Donna will love the book she has received from you.
Don't worry, you will soon make friends when the better weather comes around - folks stay in and warm at this time of the year.

  3. Can relate to missing friends and family, 10 years ago I was a nanny in the states, which normally would last a year, but after 4 months I begged my mom to come home again. some lovely pages in your friends book and how lovely it has its own pouch. and that distress technique book is absolutely fabulous. and remember creative minds have messy desks. 10. Beautiful! I love the book you made for your friend and at the workshop.

Moving away from friends and family is really hard. I still get homesick and it has been years. I moved from Ipswich in England to Kalamazoo in Michigan. Big culture shock. I nearly packed it in.
