WOYWW, a sprained ankle, a card, a tag and a mess!

Hello my dear bloggy friends!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while - the reason was a sprained ankle! I went to work for 2 days and on the 2nd day when I was locking up the library I just suddenly felt an excrutiating pain in my foot and fell! So my brother and I spent another evening at the hospital - luckily the x-rays showed that nothing was broken so I was sent home - back to bed foot on a pillow and ice on ankle! Huh! Still I was good all week and went back to work yesterday - I wear a special ankle sock to keep it in place and well I am on crutches because I still feel a bit unsecure but hopefully I will get more corageous soon! I am travelling to England this weekend as my DBF and I intend to go to this big MG doo at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire so I better gear up for that!
Well for the first few days I didn't do any crafting but over the weekend I got up to some and I will show you that in a minute! My desk is such a mess - I was studying Jo's ( from Jozart) perfume philes and wanted to make some ( but would need her assistance to make them - do you hear that JO ???????) so the box you see there is full of stuff I think would be needed for that project! There are some new metallic TH distress stains there, dominos ( another thing I intent to make in the near future) , oh look a bottle of perfume - yes I took that out of my purse the other day and well I think you can find anything you need for crafting on my desk this morning - a right mess!

Perfume philes......

As for my makings - here is a card I made.....it is made with a Crafty Individuals stamp stamped on textile, background is Dylusions and the actual stamp was colored with liquid pearls!

My other making is a September TH tag  - I didn't have sticky foil so I made my own - put double sided tape on a tag and then glued foil on it - worked the same! I used the technique he used but instead of grunge I thought I would go for a medieval theme! Jeanne D'Arc was my chosen heroin!

So there - that is me done for today - I have to rush to work now but I will be seeing you all later in the day!

Lots of hugs to all of you!

  2. Some luscious things going on honey - now, the perfume phials have got me going.

Take care of your ankle and safe travels, try to rest and raise it some of the time.

Looking forward to seeing you in October at the WOYWW bash :)

  3. Oh I love your textile card and that tag is simply fabulous.
So sorry to hear about the ankle accident (which Jo had told me about) and hope that it soon heals. You are so much in the wars with the 'walking implements' at the moment. Roll on another year and a new start with no 'foot' type events.

  13. Glad you didn't break anything. Love the tag, I must admit I must be the only person on this planet that has not fallen in love with distress inks.

  15. Sounds like a lovely posh do at Blenheim! Hope the ankle heals in time, and for the crop too. Beautiful card and really like you Joan of Arc take on the tag. Good look with the perfume thingies! I won some blog candy from Jo recently and told her to surprise me! Can't wait to see what she makes me! I'm Chief of Grid at the race track, my team has to get all the cars ready and in order, safety checked to go out on the track etc, lots of fun but you're on your feet for two days straight so it's tiring.
