WOYWW, Art journal + card

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen!

How are you this January (not very cold) morning? Well I guess it is cold in some parts of the world but as of yet we haven't seen a proper winter - I am not really bothered as I don't engage in any winter sports but some people like snow....It has been mild and that means my heating bill hasn't sky rocketed yet!
So lets have a look at what is on my desk today....I have been doing some art journaling  - I usually show cards - which I will do today too but every now and then I dabble with art journaling...first let me show you my sunflower page... I think I really needed a bit of sun in my life - the sky is ever so dull here...I stamped the flowers with a stamp my daughter bought for me in France a few years ago... Flowers are on almost everything I make so they will certainly be a part of my art journaling....

As you can see I gave the page some dimension with beads and punched butterflies, the sentiment says "lets dance in the sun wearing wild flowers in our hair" Ohhh I can't wait for the summer to come......

Next up are 2 pages - they are not finished yet but at the moment I am still thinking what to do...the theme of feathers has been in my head for a while - I have this lovely peacock feather stamp from Deep Red and I have a feather die from Simon Says Stamp - they both motivated me for these next pages...
First up this very elegant page....as you can see I stamped  the peacock feather several times and embossed it with glittery embossing powder...used a Prima stencil and a stamp by Crafty Individuals...I think it is coming along just fine .....needs more of course.....you will probably see it finished next week...

Next up is my other "feather page" - this is far from finished but I just had to use that die - I die cut the feathers and then colored them with Twinkling  H2Os added a bit of glitter....I stuck them to a page that had some stenciling on it just something I used on my moms 80th birthday card which you will see in a minute...

I will see what I do with that one.....
And now the card I made for my mom... I didn't have my camera when I went to my moms so I took the picture with my phone - not the best but it is what it is....I used a stencil and Dylusion sprays for the background, lace, die cut letters and greenery and lots of Prima flowers, a few pearls and Stickles...

So there - that is it for today...I am not sure if I got round to all that came to visit me - I will try today! I have done another 400 km trip to my mom but it was worth it as she was very happy we came to see her, but as she seems to feel better now I think I will skip a few weekends of driving down there - it does wear me out!
Have a lovely crafty week and I will see you again soon!
Lots of hugs to all of you...

  9. Great projects! I would be willing to share my snow and cold. I am so tired of hearing about the polar vortex. Tomorrow is to bring more freezing weather. Enjoy the heat. Peg R #91

  14. For being number 1 last Wednesday, I've sure taken a long time to visit. I planned to blame it on Blogger, but life also got in the way. Those flowers are stunning. I like how you added the beads and butterflies.

I also dug out my Twinkling H2Os this week. Your feathers are stunning, and photos never seem to do them justice.

    Happy, very belated WOYWW.
