WOYWW, Resolutions!

My dear bloggy friends!

I would first like to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!!!! I know I am a bit late with this but not too late I guess! I haven't been blogging because I am not feeling very well ever since I came back from England - I don't want to start the year being all negative but when you have a cough that keeps you up all night and then you have to go to work in the morning you are not really a very happy bunny....but never mind hopefully I will get well soon!
Here is the last of my Christmas - New Years cards which is sort of dedicated to all of you lovely people I have met through my blogging! Have a good one!!!

As you all know we congregate around the crafty table at Queen Julia every Wednesday and show our desks and here is mine...

Yes I know it looks very tidy and empty! Well by my standards. What you see there is some sort of primed canvas which I intend to use to make a bright and happy mixed media something....I am a bit fed up with Christmas cards and the color red, green and blue, so I will be doing something with pink and lots of lovely bright colors - you will be seeing the progress!
Now of course we should be talking about new years resolutions - eh well I am not really good at sticking to them but I will at least try to stick to the crafty ones...
nr. 1 : TIDY UP and MAKE YOUR CRAFTY SPACE MORE PRACTICAL !
I started on that one - I used to have all my little bottles and inks and stuff on my shelves so whenever I took something off - 10 other things fell off too (huh!!!!!) so I decided to put all those things in containers - I know it is a bit more shifting through things but at least I don't have to be on my knees on the floor all the time picking up what fell off....
Here are my glitters and tiny inks....

Here are all my TH DI - and some of my sprays............ I am still not sure if this is a good idea but you have to try....

I have these Stampin up inks I don't know where to put - they are a bigger size so don't fit in the containers...

My Stickles and Distress stickles found a new home in this box - they still don't fit in nicely but I can't help that...

Resolution Nr.2: MAKE A CHRISTMAS CARD EVERY WEEK!!!! Yes I decided I don't want to spend the whole of December making Christmas cards when I could be doing other things so I decided I will do one every week - I have stuck to the plan so far - Have two cards for next year already! Yippeee!!!
Nr. 3. : GO TO MORE CLASSES AND CROPS AND LEARN MORE CRAFTY TECHNIQUES!
I haven't started on that one yet but I will....Julia has already suggested a date for another crop...and well I guess I will try to go to some classes - I can't afford really expensive ones like TH classes but there are things going on that are affordable....
Nr.4. : FINISH MY ALTERED BOOK AND ART JOURNAL!
I started both last year and I will give a lot more attention to them this year! I still like making cards but I need a variety of things going on.....so watch this space....
Thats it folks - those are my crafty resolutions - nothing big but I think it will keep me busy all year!
What are your crafty resolutions???
As I spend my evenings in bed  I will hook up my laptop and get round to as much of you as possible - I missed the first of this years WOYWW but I am back now ! Thank you to all of you that have commented on my blog throughout 2012, I hope to hear from you in 2013!
Have a lovely week! See you soon!
Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian

  3. I find exactly the same thing with boxes- they are never quite the right size to get everything in!There is always one or two too tall, or you have a couple too many so they lie on the top. And inkpad storage- don't get me started, :)Hope your cough gets better soon, I agree it is so miserable to have your sleep ruined.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #73 xx

  6. You have to start somewhere with the resolutions and you have started off good. Love the clean desk, impressive and I love the fact that you are putting your supplies in containers hey it works for me and I have been doing it for years. Mind you I am now really fussy about the type of container because I want everything to match LOL

Some one told me about Rudolf Day on the 25th of each month where you have to produce a Christmas Card, it might be worth a look if plan B fails LOL wink wink....

Thanks for popping in and again for the beautiful card it will be going into my card treasure box.

    Happy New Year

  20. Sorry you have been sick, hope that goes away soon! I was looking at all your dies piled up without their boxes and wondering if that is better than my slip and slide pile because I put them back in their box each time... will have to give it a go!! Annette #37

  21. I keep all my goodies in boxes and whilst it does mean going to specific boxes - and being pretty organised about putting stuff back where it belongs, I do find it works for me Dolores!

  22. ah Cardarian or Delores.. sorry to hear that you ave been poorly and must confess I always get a bad cold/flu when visit family in UK each time I have been about a week into visit and stays for the duration and yes get that waking cough too. I take some natural meds from home now.
Nf you can get hold of a good mix of echinacea and astragalus it will clear it but my experience in UK was it was not available there... all too poor in the quality.
ah have made two Christmas cards too.. and put on my list to do six this week as want to get head start as it does not last I know!.
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #6
