Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen!
How are you this January (not very cold) morning? Well I guess it is cold in some parts of the world but as of yet we haven't seen a proper winter - I am not really bothered as I don't engage in any winter sports but some people like snow....It has been mild and that means my heating bill hasn't sky rocketed yet!
So lets have a look at what is on my desk today....I have been doing some art journaling - I usually show cards - which I will do today too but every now and then I dabble with art journaling...first let me show you my sunflower page... I think I really needed a bit of sun in my life - the sky is ever so dull here...I stamped the flowers with a stamp my daughter bought for me in France a few years ago... Flowers are on almost everything I make so they will certainly be a part of my art journaling....
As you can see I gave the page some dimension with beads and punched butterflies, the sentiment says "lets dance in the sun wearing wild flowers in our hair" Ohhh I can't wait for the summer to come......
Next up are 2 pages - they are not finished yet but at the moment I am still thinking what to do...the theme of feathers has been in my head for a while - I have this lovely peacock feather stamp from Deep Red and I have a feather die from Simon Says Stamp - they both motivated me for these next pages...
First up this very elegant page....as you can see I stamped the peacock feather several times and embossed it with glittery embossing powder...used a Prima stencil and a stamp by Crafty Individuals...I think it is coming along just fine .....needs more of course.....you will probably see it finished next week...
Next up is my other "feather page" - this is far from finished but I just had to use that die - I die cut the feathers and then colored them with Twinkling H2Os added a bit of glitter....I stuck them to a page that had some stenciling on it just something I used on my moms 80th birthday card which you will see in a minute...
I will see what I do with that one.....
And now the card I made for my mom... I didn't have my camera when I went to my moms so I took the picture with my phone - not the best but it is what it is....I used a stencil and Dylusion sprays for the background, lace, die cut letters and greenery and lots of Prima flowers, a few pearls and Stickles...
So there - that is it for today...I am not sure if I got round to all that came to visit me - I will try today! I have done another 400 km trip to my mom but it was worth it as she was very happy we came to see her, but as she seems to feel better now I think I will skip a few weekends of driving down there - it does wear me out!
Have a lovely crafty week and I will see you again soon!
Lots of hugs to all of you...

WOYWW, A messy desk and 2 Bday card!
Hello my dear friends!
I was away last Wednesday as I had to take my mom to the hospital as she had a check up on her healing and I am very happy to say she is much better - she was actually told she doesn't need crutches anymore unless she walks a very long distance! Also her arm has healed well so all in all she is ok and I think she is very happy about it! I think the thought that she would have to go into a home really scared her so she did all she could to make herself better! I spent the whole weekend there - we went shopping, she had a new ID card made (as she will be 80 on Saturday!) and I cleaned the house for her so she is ok for a while!
As you are now updated with all the goings on here in Cardarian's land I will now show you my messy desk!
What you are looking at is an already half tidyed up desk - I had a 15X15 cm space to make my card - I think I have some illness called messinitis as I can never have a nice and clean tidy desk!
I will tell you a secret - I have gone absolutely mad about dies! I am just so in love with the Memory Box ones but also others - they are so intricate and versatile you can do all sorts with them! So you will probably see quite a few cards with these dies on my blog in the next months! Of course I haven't stopped doing stamping - I also love rubber! Oh well to be honest I love everything crafty! I think that is the reason I can not decide on any style! I like to do all sorts - I would be bored with just one technique for the rest of my life! Here is one of my latest creations - I used a few dies a stencil and an embossing folder of course you can't make a card without a bit of TH DI and my newest toy the Wink of Stella pen - love it!
Here you can see that lovely shine from the Wink of Stella pen...
This card was made for a friend of mine who's birthday is today - she already recieved the card so I am ok to show it...
Next is a card I did with more stamping - I have combined two stamps and I really like the outcome and also dies and flowers which I jazzed up with a bit of gold color - this was a card for another one of my friends....
I now have to put on my thinking cap and make a really nice card for my moms 80th! You will see that soon...
I hope you have all heard about this mad thing that goes on somewhere in England - people congregate and show their messy desks! The leader of all this madness is a lady called Julia at Stamping Ground - go over there and see what it is!
My dear friends I wish you all a lovely week
Lots of hugs to you,
Cardarian
