WOYWW, a LIM Valentine

Hello and good morning to everybody!

We are having a very cold morning - still no snow but the temperatures are about  -8 deg C and we have a very strong wind blowing from the north so cold, cold, cold! I haven't been around  much of you last week as I was busy running around doctors as I finally had my MR scan and I needed to get some answers why I am still in so much pain....well they found out 2 things are pestering me - one is the injury from when I fell into that pot hole on the pavement and the other is a degenerative disease called Osteoarthritis....together they make a lovely combination of pain and suffering! And not much can be done about it! So I haven't had very good news this week! Still I will try to stay positive and at least do some things to prevent it getting worse! I won't go on about it today but I will write a post about it some other day! Today of course we have to show our busy or not so busy desks! Well mine hasn't been too busy this week still I do have a few things to show....
Here is my messy desk.....the right hand side of it.....

and here is the left hand side.......

In the middle you can see a card I have made for Less is more (LIM) - the challenge is a sketch - I really made it simple - used 2 different washi tapes, a mini ric rac ribbon and I stamped a heart cut it out and covered some of it with Glossy accents....added a sentiment and Bobs your uncle as you English say the card was done!

Here are my two boxes of  tapes ......

and as last I will show you my clean desk - this is as clean as it gets - after I have taken the pictures above I tidyed up and this is the result....

Ok then I hope you enjoyed the snoop, there is much more to see at our HQ where Queen Julia is in command!
Have a lovely day and  I will be swinging by!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian

It's so great to see you with this fabulous card... I've never used washi tape but I'm inclined to give it a go seeing this!
Thanks so much for participating and do come back next week for another CAS challenge!

  6. Sorry to hear your dr's visit hasn't helped much, I really hope you manage to get some pain management sorted out soon. Probably a good idea to google it and find some things out for yourself! Beautiful LIM card and I really love that tape. I love how it's so prefect and architectural and then the heart and the sentiment are wonderfully grungy! Great combination.

  9. Sorry you are suffering from osteoarthritis. I have arthritis, but mine is a birth defect. Wow, I love that card, and all that tape. I have NO tape, so that stuff looks amazing.

I also dropped by to tell you about the AB class. I know you wanted to do this last year, but I'm not sure I ever sent you the link to the other blog. However, now I am offering it on my regular blog, so please drop by if you are interested in taking the free altered book classes. I'm # 30 this week.

  11. You're a brave girl having all of your paints, etc. so close to your computer. I'd be scared silly of spilling something on my keyboard ;-)

  13. Phew, tons going on here today then! Sorry about the osteoarthritis - I've got that too and it's not at all nice (understatement). Follow the doctors orders - you could try cod liver oil capsules as they seem to help me a bit. Di xx

  14. Sorry to hear about your 'pain', not good at all! I love your craft space though! lol, and the card is fab, I don't mean to make light of it, it is horrible being in pain, i know, i take a concoction of pain relief including morphine and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Your desk wonderfully inspiring full of crafting goodies, hope you have a good week, without too much pain Gentle hugs Lou E @ #26

  16. I love that Less is More Card, so beautiful, simple and elegant. So much better than overly fussy!
I also liked 'Bob's your Uncle'!! English has so many wonderful idioms and sayings. Another good one is 'For Pete's sake' if you're exasperated about something - who was Pete?? LOL. no-one knows....

  23. Sometimes when I am in pain, I go to my craft room and I forget all about it! I was recently diagnosed with this collapsed bone in my spine and it was excrucuating! I now go around with a sort of corset to suport my back!
