WOYWW, starting year 3, wedding and......

Hi Everybody!

Here we are pushing year 3, celebrations are over, Pifs are sent and life goes on..... I won't show my Pif in the near future as mine is travelling all the way to Australia! Still I have taken photos of it so as soon as it arrives it will be on my blog!
So turning to current events as you know the day before our anniversary I came home from England and on the next Friday I went back to England for a wedding.....very bad planning but what can I do??? We sat on the runway for more then an hour (coming back) due to storms in central Europe so I got home late again! I won't be flying any time soon! Enough is enough! On the bright side of things I had a lovely time at the wedding....here are a few photos of the lovely couple.....
A bit of eye candy - the amazing cake....well it was very tasty too....

this is a picture you will probably never see again - me with a fascinator......

and this is the card I made for the wedding.....

and finaly my desk of this morning.....shamefuly messy but at the moment Mr. Mojo and I are on VERY good terms in our relationship so busy, busy, busy.... I made a card for a mom to be....it is in the envelope....

yes I can show it as she won't read my blog......

And here are both sides of my really messy desk.....left....

and right......

and my new first ever lovely Suzi Blu stamps.....I know Donna is going to say "cheat" but I intend to use them for my FAT project -  after a few attemps I have realised I  can't draw a face - yet - ha, ha my drawing abilities are the ones of a three year old so I need some help here!

Ok that is me done for today - very late I know but all this flying has just made me sooo slow.....which brings me to a big apology for not getting to all the desks I intended to last week - I will get to you this week and try to be better - I am now at home for the rest of the summer so lots of time for snooping around desks!
Thank you to everybody and see you today.....
Lots of hugs to all of you....

Happy anniversary WOYWW, 1st June, 2011

Hello my dear WOYWWers!

How are you all doing??? Enjoying our 2 year special??? I came back from my trip last night very late - another delay of my plane! I was actually lucky to get home as  I heard the day before on Monday the flight was cancelled! I will report on my trip later but as today is a special occassion I will not waffle about that!
Sooo.....what is on my desk?? All though it is the anniversary post I must admit I haven't done anything to show you except a bit of my crafty shopping that I brought over from England....I have a lot of ideas which I will use in my cards that I have got on the way but that will all come along in the next weeks!  For now let me just show you my usual messy desk where I dumped all my new stuff!

What you can see on my desk is some new black perles which I always find hard to get, a few bags of toppers - very cheap although I am not sure when I will use them some misters and a bag of flowers.....oh yes and the new Craft Stamper!
To celebrate the occassion this morning the sun is on my desk so have another snoop around.....he, he you might spot a bag of sweeties from Mr. Humbug! A must on a crafters desk!!! Ha, ha!

So about the PIF as I understand we don't show it but we do asterix ourselves if we want to play along! I am in the game!
I would like to again thank our lovely hostess QUEEN JULIA for giving our nosey nature a chance to express itself in full every Wednesday! Lovely, lovely idea - it has brought a lot of people together sharing ideas, laughs, envy (Hels that one is for you ha, ha!) happiness and also comfort! So Julia thank you, thank you, thank you!
To all my lovely fellow WOYWWers I send lots of love and hugs on this very special day!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY WOYWW!!!!!

WOYWW from England!

Hello to everybody from sunny Kent!

Glorious morning today, I am enjoying my tea in bed and writing this post on my lap top! How different from my usual rushing to write this before going to work....huh I must think about retirement!
So what have I been up to since my last post.....As you know I have flown to England on Friday (Who knows if I will be flying back with all these ashes around! And it happened to me last year too!!!!) and since then lots have happened! Sunday we went to the Classic car show in Faversham! Here are some photos from the event...... These are the Maidstone MG owners club cars.....yes it started off as a rainy day but the sun soon came out and we had a nice day pottering around Faversham - cars everywhere of course!

I am not that much of a car fan ( I just use them to get from A to B) but there were a few cars that were interesting colorwise so have a look.....

And a peek into the motor.......

Here is an interesting Pirats of the Carribean van......would you really want to sleep in that van? But people do put a lot of work into these things so I must admire them......

And the inside.....

I also went to a craft show which was on......got a few ideas from there.....

I have a lot more photos from Faversham, but blogger is giving me a hell of a time putting them on so I will just put a few more photos on.....Monday I went to Royal Albert Hall to the Eric Clapton Concert - what can I say? He is the most amazing guitarist.....

I did make some movies which I will probably put on Facebook!
Here  is me in Royal Albert Hall.....

But do not think I am not doing anything crafty....I am making flowers when I have a few minutes time....

So there that is me for today.....I will be off for a ride in the country later and then in the evening two rival MG clubs are having a quiz in a pub so that is my next thing....I will report more of my week of galavanting around England.....

Lots of hugs to all of you,
Cardarian

Paprikash!

Good morning everybody!

How are you all today?? Having a cold miserable day or is the sun shining bright for you??? Well for me it is bright sunshine so that makes me happy!
If you are thinking what to cook and you haven't got a clue, I have an easy recipe for you today...PAPRIKASH! I come from a little town called Murska Sobota and it is very close to the hungarian border. Hungarian food is a big influence on our cuisine and since I was a child I remember paprika ( in fact red pepper) being part of the daily food! Hungarians have a big variaty of red peppers - very small ones that are called cherry paprika ( very, very hot!) and bigger ones that are usually milder in taste! Almost every food you eat in Hungary has paprika in it! Paprikash is a sauce you put on pasta - hungarians make a special one but you can use any pasta you like!
So here we go - lots of photos....I think it is much easier to cook something if you have a visual ha, ha....
First you put oil in the saucepan and onions.... I use olive oil but any oil will do....

when the onions are getting a bit brown on the edges put in the red pepper - paprika....

and a bit of black pepper.....

Then cut the meat into smaller pieces - chicken or pork but I prefer chicken.....

meat goes in in with the onions and you want it to get a bit brown too - don't forget to stir all the time - it does like to stick and the onions shouldn't burn!

Now is the time to salt it.....and add bay leaf ......

and then pour some water over the mixture - the water has to cover all the meat and maybe a bit more because it will boil away....

cover the paprikash and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes .....when the meat is soft mix a tbs of flour and 2 tbs of creme fraiche and add the mixture to the paprikash - that should simmer for another 5 minutes....

then serve with any pasta you like....bon appetite!

Have a lovely day!
Lots of hugs.....

WOYWW, 18th May 2011

Good morning my dear friends!

How are you all today?? I hope you are enjoying such lovely sunny weather as we are! It goes up to 28 deg C in the afternoons so it is really nice - I am enjoying my "outside lounge" ( in fact terrace). On the crafty side of things I am very busy although my blog doesn't show it! By the evening when I should put up a post I am so tired I just fall into bed! It is very good that we have this WOYWW because you feel so much part of a community that you just can't miss out - so all of the work gets shown!
So what have I been doing???? First I will show you 2 cards I have made - one for my friend's birthday - we celebrated her birthday on Monday! And another card that I made for my collegue at work - his birthday is next Saturday - he is a keen cyclist so I worked that theme.....
Here is my friends card.....

And here is the boy card......

I looked on the internet to find some ephemera that would suit the theme and I think I got it right - I stamped the backround -which you can't see much with one of the dylusions stamps - something new in my collection of stamps.....here is my messy desk where you can just about see it...

what you can also see is a decoupaged letter D which I made yesterday at a make and take demo at an art  shop in Ljubljana called PROMETEJ CENTER !
Here is a photo of the group working and our lovely  teacher.....

I now see that I have not taken a photo of a sketch of a face I have been doing to go on my collage I am doing with Donna - I think I will give up on the idea of drawing something myself - I wish I had inherited the talent of my dad who was really good at drawing but unfortunatly those genes did not get passed on ! As his mathematical genius didn't! Huh!  I have been doing a lot more things - also preparing my PiF and a few other gifts but I can't show them as you all know - at least not till the recipient gets them - so for now this is all I will show you for today!
Later on I will post a recipe for paprikash....so if you are interested in cooking a hungarian national food come back later....
Oh one more thing.....Friday I travel to England and will be staying there for about 10 days - I am going to various events - Sunday I am in Faversham - Kent I will be there at the classic car show with my MG Club from Maidstone - if any of you will be there I would love to meet you! Also I will be in London Monday - going to the Eric Clapton Concert ( my birthday surprise - YIPEEEEE!!!) From next Friday till Monday we are going on an MG trip to Hailing Island ( I hope I spelt it right) but we will probably be cruising around - I will be blogging as much as I can so you will be up to date with all the goings on!
Have a lovely snoop, enjoy your day and be sure that I will have a look at what you are doing!
Lots and lots of hugs,
Cardarian

A lovely rainy Sunday!

Hello Everybody!

How is your weekend going? We had a sunny Saturday - actually quite hot - it was 28 deg C in Ljubljana! I went to the market early in the morning, then did some gardening and in the afternoon I popped over to Trieste, Italy with my daughter and did a bit of shopping! I bought 3 tops, but the one I really like is the one with a Missoni pattern ! Missoni patterns are quite trendy this year but to find one in my size is almost a missoni impossible! So I am quite happy!
Going on to today - Sunday we have lovely rain all day! Usually I would moan about rain but it was really needed - the soil was getting so dry it almost had cracks! And there was so much pollen around that even people who don't have hay fever got it! But the reason I am really enjoying this rainy Sunday is that I can do things that I want to do but don't have time or the will to do during the week when I struggle with the full time job! For the first time in my life I tried serviette technique! As I am preparing to do the whole FAT with Donna of Doings of Doone I thought I better try this! I bought art potch and made something I can not blog about yet but I will when the certain thing reaches the person it was made for! So happy to be able to try all these different techniques! I am not usually so adventuress but it seems that these FAT videos have given me the courage to do things out of my comfort zone -  thank you so much Donna!
Oh yes and here comes a bit of a moan! Besides the nice stuff I have also been doing the most boring job a stamper has to do - sticking rubber stamps to Kling-On and cutting them out! What is most frustrating is the sticking of the b..... thing to the scissors! HUH!!!!! Now I went all out because I have had enough of this and bought the very famous TIM HOLTZ NON STICK SCISSORS! Yeh right! They are only a very expensive stick!!!! And here are photos to prove it.....

Here is the proof!

I used alcohol to clean off all the horrible glue  - I guess I should have had a sip of it myself being so frustrated! ha, ha..... I know a lot of you ladies love TH stuff and I also buy a lot of his things but I will say this load and clear - his stuff is not always what it says it is and everything is too damn expensive! So there I have said it!!!
Ok then I am off to watch more of Donnas videos - enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow with something I have made over the weekend!
Oh yes I almost forgot to comment on the blogger frustration - lots of you girls have commented on my Birthday - WOYWW post but I couldn't get back to you - I will try to get back to all of you during the evening! Thank you to all of you for your kind wishes!
Lots of hugs and love to all,
Cardarian

Birthday post and WOYWW

Hi Everybody!

How should I say this?? Another year has come round and another year has been added to the many I already have ( or should I say feel on my body). As I share so much with you I thought I would share this too - no point in being secretive about having a birthday at my age! I had a lovely day - I got up early and enjoyed the lovely morning on my terrace ( yes I can now sit outside in the morning) then I went to the market and bought a few baskets of strawberries which I took to work with a few other goodies and shared with my friends ....
I got some lovely gift and a big "international bouquet" that was sent to me from my DBF from England! I  wanted to make a video to mark the occassion but I don't really know how and the only camera I have is the one on my laptop that I use for skype. Does anybody know if you can use that to make a video for your blog?
I also went out with my friends last night and had a lovely Indian meal and drank too much Cobra! So today I wasn't as bright and early as usual!
I will be honest with you I haven't been doing much crafting this week - it was time to do some gardening - it is all done and dusted but unfortunately my desk is empty!

But I still have a few things to share with you....first my kitchen table this morning - full of lovely flowers I got for my birthday....

The one in the back with the pinky stuff wrapped around it is from my DBF....

Here is a bit of my efforts in my "garden".....

Here are a few pots with varios flowers and also a few herbs I use quite often (basil, parsley, chives and  melissa....it all still looks a bit sad but in a few weeks It will be very nice and colorful!

Oh well I do have something crafty to share - I have started putting my ribbon on dolly pegs but the problem  is that instead of putting my old ribbon on them -  the one that is mashed up in boxes and desperately needs sorting  I keep on buying new ribbon and never get round to those boxes?? Why do you think that happens??? Ha, ha....
Well that is me for today! Have a lovely snoop around - I will make an effort to visit as much of you as possible but I must admit sometimes life takes over and I just can't do all the visits I would like to!
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian
